Thanks Brett Coates for the great review

If you’ve never been to race in Swaziland then do yourself a massive favour and next year make the effort, its worth the two and a half hour journey and some. The vibe is old school laid back with a cosmopolitan atmosphere and a dozen nationalities – seems like Swazi is full of ‘aid workers’? Anyhoo Gary and the team know how to put on a proper MTB race with one of the best mixes of natural terrain, rural village roads and a bit of man made single track thrown in but the best parts are the cattle trails and walking paths that throw up unexpected drops, rocks and stream crossings that have your knuckles white and your teeth grinning! I decided my 70km legs were still a month away so opted for the 40km and it was an absolute blast, full gas from the go with some climbs towards the end to keep it honest, tons of fun and great glass trophies to show off! Max didn’t make the same mistake as last weekend and rode a comfortable distance in front of Declan and our Sammy had the women’s race all her own, coming 3rd overall in the 70km! Uncle Dennis, Todd and Tony even drove thru on Saturday morning and easily made the civilized 9am start for the 40, pencil this in for 2018 – or don’t and let us steal all the glory!
