Today, 30 years ago, the first glass elephant rolled off ‘the production line’ at the newly re-opened Ngwenya Glass factory in Swaziland. Under the proud and watchful eye of new owners and managers, the late Richard Prettejohn, Alix, Chas & Sibusiso! The Prettejohn family bought the factory out of liquidation – all because they couldn’t find any more glass elephants to add to their collection!
Today, under the guidance of husband and wife team Chas and Cathy Prettejohn, together with Sibusiso, Gary, Ann and the whole Ngwenya family, this proud Swazi company is recognized worldwide for its quality, handmade, recycled glass creations!
